Amalgama Phillips streaming after the homonymous installation at The Phillips Collection
Amalgama Phillips is a collaboration with The Phillips Collection (Washington D. C. ) as part of its, DigitalIntersections program, in celebration of the museums 100th anniversary. Amalgama Phillips is a generative video created from over 550 artworks of the museums permanent collection. The artwork liquifies the paintings by means of an algorithm and transforms to fluid forms in constant transformation. Occasionally the artworks are briefly revealed in their recognisable forms, only to swirly return to their default liquid mode. This is an online extraction from the original sitespecific Amalgama Phillips projection, which was livestreamed on YouTube from September 8 until November 10, 2021.
