Why I painted this scene: I was on my way to the supermarket one winter s morning when the sun came out from behind the sea mist and lit up the yellow paint of Allinge church, on Bornholm. I was drawn to the contrast between the cold ground of the snow on the Square and the warm colours of the church. I m an oil paint artist living on the Danish island of Bornholm.
