Glasgow womens rights rally met with trans activist counter protest
Hundreds gathered in Glasgow city centre as a women s rights protest was met with a counterprotest by trans rights activists. Standing for Women staged a demonstration on Sunday in George Square against the Scottish Government s Gender Recognition Reform bill. A counterprotest staged by proreform advocates dubbed Cabaret Against the Hate Speech took place just metres from the event, with both sides separated by a police cordon. Speaking in George Square, KellieJay Keen also known as Posie Parker criticised the Scottish Government over the case of Isla Bryson, who raped two women before transitioning.
