The Japanese learn Kanji at school and use it in daily life naturally, but how much Kanji do you know Mr. Mayer met Kanji which is strange shape for foreigners, because he enjoyed Japanese animations when he was a high school student in the U. S. He got interested in Kanji and have studied very hard since he came to Japan. He passed Kanji Kentei (Japan Kanji Aptitude Test) smoothly, but the more upgrade, the more difficult. He couldnt remember by only dictation, so he designed an unique method. Born in New Jersey, US in 1982, and living in Hamamatsu city. He is the first person from nonkanjiused country who passed the firstgrade certificate in Kanji Kentei (Japan Kanji Aptitude Test). Calling himself Kanji geek, he now plays an active part as Kanji educationist certified by Ritsumeikan University after his career as an English teacher and translator.
