Ave Maria Gounod, Bach Meditation Violin
Ave Maria is a celebrated prayer in the cultures of Latin descend. The French romantic composer Charles Gounod has layered his melody on a slightly changed version of the Prelude No. 1 in C Major, by the German composer Johann Sebastian Bach. This piece was published 1853 under the name Méditation sur le Premier Prélude de Piano de S. Bach. The original composition by Bach dates 1722. Some background information on the video: It was recorded and filmed on the 10th of April 2020, during the COVID19 quarantine in Austria. I used the following source of playback: by Héctor Valls. Recorded with a REMIC violin pickup microphone, the APOGEE DUET interface and using VE Inear Systems. Filmed and edited by Stefan Panfili. The video was shot on the Blackmagic Design Ursa Mini Pro G2 and the Pocket Cinema Camera 6K (PCC6K). The lenses used were Canon 50mm L and the Sigma 2435 Art. The postproduction was done in Davinci Resolve 16.
