Yurya Belarusian Folk Song

Music video for Belarusian folk song Yurya (form Zara project by GUDA and Drolls) produced and directed by Volya Dzemka. This is Volya s first student project. This ancient Belarusian folk song is about Yurya, the god of Spring. Someone asks him; Where did you get your feet wet Where have you been, where are you going Yurya answers: I have been running over the hills and in the valleys, giving wheat to This style of singing and tune is becoming rare. This video hopes to help preserve this musical art form. Original costumes from late 19th century (Palessya region) were used for production of this video.
