Cutting Down an Old FIr
This old tree is at a local golf course. Due to several large limbs falling onto the course and other safety concerns we cut it down, leaving a 50 habitat snag. The golf course that the tree was on required a habitat snag left of at least 10 meters, otherwise it would have changed the layout of the fairway, making the hole easier. Also the only corridor to fall the tree into would have required felling (and cleaning up) a half dozen other 160 firs, meaning climbing and piecing it down was the fa
