Drum Improvisations Baby Dodds
Here is another gem from my archives. I can t remember where it came from, and the only note that I kept says that it was recorded in New York in 1946. I have always admired his drumming, particularly on the Bunk Johnson tracks of similar dates. Listening to it now, after much (polluted) water has flowed under the bridge, I am amazed by the ability he had to produce a melodic result.
