le marché de la Ribeira, le plus important de Lisbonne depuis 1882. Le doux parfum des gâteaux à la crème se mêle à ceux, plus entêtants, des citrons, de lail et de la morue. Ces effluves attirent immanquablement le promeneur dans la halle qui abrite, depuis 1882, le marché de la Ribeira, le plus important de Lisbonne. On y vend toutes sortes de produits méditerranéens, mais aussi des poissons de lAtlantique et des fruits venus de Madère et des Açores. Depuis sa rénovation en 2014, le marché simpose comme le paradis des gourmets : les meilleurs cuisiniers de la ville y préparent sur place de délicieux plats frais. Et ce sont les femmes qui mènent le navire, à limage de Rosa, la plus célèbre des peixeiras (poissonnières) de la halle. Quant à la cuisinière Marlene Vieira, elle prépare des poissons provenant du nord de lEurope, et révèle sa recette de lincontournable bacalhau, morue à la portugaise agrémentée dherbes locales.
