The Real Thing The Crime Of Love Un Poco Loco Latin Instrumental Mix (1989)
British soul group The Real Thing formed in the 1970s and enjoyed a string of hits, including UK, 1, You To Me Are Everything. Once the hits started to dry up into the 1980s, remixes of their biggest hits, such as Can t Get By Without You and Can You Feel The Force, were commissioned and 1986 saw them return to the UK top 10. However, the followup new material and even a cover of I Can t Help Myself (Sugar Pie Honey Bunch), originally a hit for The Four Tops on Motown, were far less successful. The Crime Of Love was one such release, a very strong garage house track, arriving on the RCA label in 1989. It was their last release of the 1980s. No versions of this track appear anywhere else online that I can find, so here is the excellent dub mix. I really love this, very Shep Pettibone in style Producer David James also worked with Glen Goldsmith, Michelle Gayle and Louise, whilst remixer Paul Witts has tinkered with Paula Abdul, Tongue N Cheek and Lisa Stansfield.
