U. S. Navy Submarine Surfaces Through the Ice ( USS Connecticut)
USS Connecticut the submarine USS Connecticut surfaces through the Arctic Ice. The Virginiaclass submarine USS New Hampshire (SSN 778) and the Seawolfclass submarine USS Connecticut (SSN 22) participated in Ice Exercise 2011 (ICEX2011) in the Arctic Ocean, March 2011. The ICEX exercise was managed by the U. S. Navy s Arctic Submarine Laboratory located aboard Naval Base Point Loma San Diego.
