Alec R. Costandinos Vol. 1: Love And Kisses Full Album + Bonus (1977)
Alec R. Costandinos was born to GreekArmenian parents in Cairo, Egypt, 1944 and had enjoyed considerable success as a songwriter in France, writing pop hits for the likes of Claude François, Dalida, and Demis Roussos. By 1974 he was part of the protodisco group Kongas and the AfrikanaO product where he befriended drummer Marc Cerrone. The two of them produced a groundbreaking sidelong disco track in 1976, Love In C Minor, which went to No. 1 on the Billboard Disco Charts. With Cerrone getting all the credit for this, Costandinos was not happy and the two parted ways acrimoniously, Costandinos seeking to show he could do just as well on his own. His first LP bore the studio project name Love And Kisses and featured only two songs, Accidental Lover and I ve Found Love. It was recorded at London s Trident Studios in Soho with British musicians and wellknown sessions singers such as Vicky Brown and Sue Sunny.
