Thin and thick shield against warbow
Testing authentically made thin and thick shields against viking age weapon replicas with the methods of experimental archaeology. The exact results will be published later in one way or another. The thin shield (has black paint) is made out of 6 mm thick spruce planks that thin down to 3 mm on the edge. The thick shield (has white paint) is made out of 10 mm thick spruce planks that thin down to 3 mm on the edge. Test 1: shields against warbow.
