Oromo Kyrgyz Traditional Dish, Bakita Cooks
Hello Guys Today I made a Kyrgyz dish called Oromo. Its a traditional steamed pie dumpling, dough rolled in diced potatoes, meat, vegetables and pumpkin, squash. Try this delicious dish if you have never heard before and let me know how it tastes. I am baking in oven but you can steam in a steamer instead. Ingredients: Flour 300g Water 100ml 1 Egg 1 Tsp Salt Stuffing Meat 400g 2 Onions 2 Potatoes Olive Oil 2 Tbsp. Desired Seasoning Instructions: 1. Mix 1 Egg in 100ml of water and add 1 Tsp Salt 2. Pour into 300g Flour and mix until dough texture 3. Leave in room temperature for 15 mins 4. Mix 2 Onions, 2 Potatoes, Chili Pepper, Coriander, Salt, Turmeric, Smoked Paprika, Garlic Powder, Black Pepper, 2 Tbsp. Olive Oil, 5. Roll Dough flat and place mixture evenly 6. Roll up dough with mixture and pinch closed and place on a pan 7. Oil the roll and pour 1 cup water, seal shut so it can steam 8. Bake 400F for 45 mins to 1 hour
