I just wanna stop right here and take a moment to acknowledge just how friggin talented Calliope Mori is. Not only did she help make this bop of a song my secondfavorite on the whole record, as of right now but directed animated an entire music video for it This song definitely plays into Calli s strengths; she dives into a lyrical topic that has a lot going for it, and she s no stranger to rapping over Fake Type s electroswing beats. Good stuff all around. The main inspiration for this remix was Avenged Sevenfold; their groovier tracks do give off the same vibes as this song. Of course, Synyster Gates is my guitar hero, and his harmony parts are a huge influence on my own playing, but I also want to highlight The Rev s drumming; the dude really knew how to lay down a solid groove when he had to.
