Au Pakistan, des chrétiens attaqués pour blasphème reviennent dans leur quartier saccagé
Dans la province du Pendjab, unquartier chrétien a été pris dassaut et saccagé, le 16 août, dans un nouvel accès de violence dû au fléau du blasphème au Pakistan. Deux frères chrétiens ont été accusés davoir profané le Coran. Malgré leur arrestation, une foule de fanatiques sest déchainée sur des quartiers chrétiens dans cette province de l est du pays. Aucune victime nest à déplorer, les habitants ayant pu fuir, mais plusieurs églises et habitations ont été incendiées et un cimetière vandalisé. Une centaine démeutiers et de religieux ont été arrêtées. La communauté chrétienne, qui représentent à peine 2 de la population pakistanaise, est régulièrement prise pour cible après des accusations de blasphème souvent non fondées.
