Paris waiter race revived in French capital
A 100yearold tradition was revived by 200 Parisian waiters on Sunday who raced over a mile while carrying a tray of coffee, water and a croissant. Servers representing some of the citys most famous cafés and restaurants put their traybalancing skills to the test in the speedwalking race that started at city hall and wove through the streets of Marais. Sundays event marked the return of the event just a few months ahead of the Olympic Games when 15 million spectators are expected to descend on the city, testing the mettle of Parisian wait staff.
