Some Americans have started moving to Russia in an attempt to escape the ultraliberal values that have been imposed on the masses by their political elite over the past 1520 years. Many folks in the US just don t see eye to eye with this way of doing things. They re not keen on the rainbow agenda and don t quite fit into the mould of behaviour that s been imposed on them, including the adoption of children by samesex partners. They just want to live their lives quietly in a predictable world and are not looking for confrontation. We had a good chat about all this with John Varoli, an American journalist, formerly of the New York Times, who has lived and worked in Russia for several years.
