Army Training (1914 1918)
Army Training bayonet practise and gas attack. World War One. British soldiers in trench (not elaborate big trench; more like a ditch). Soldiers climb up w, bayonets on rifles; run to right. Shot of sacks hanging from logs joined together at ends on top of poles about 89 high; these are placed at intervals across field. Soldiers run toward these from BG; stabbing sacks w, bayonets (also stab other sacks on ground). Then; a shot of a ditch w, 1 steep side; dug into ground; soldiers come jumping off stab bags lying on ground there a few feet after the dropoff. Then; all of this is repeated. Another shot ditch curving in field; smoke rises from it. Some soldiers in gas masks walking through the trench.
