I learned the lyrics to this song about 20 gulp years ago from The Pogues Excellent album Peace Love from hmm was it 1988 Never been a huge fan of The Pogues but this song is probably in my top 5 list of all songs. Also it is the first Irish song I learned and it kind of started my love for the traditional music. Funny when I think of it, as this song is not traditional at all.
