One year in the life of the Siberian salamander in the Tomsk region
Good afternoon Everyone knows that amphibians survive down to 16C. But the Siberian salamander remains alive after frosts of 35C. An experiment on the cooling of Siberian salamanders showed that at 35C they lived for 45 days and remained unharmed, but less than half of the individuals could withstand three days at 50C. In nature, salamanders are not exposed to such low temperatures, because they are underground and snow, where the temperature does not fall below 20 C (although it can be as low as 60 C on the surface). Today we will tell you about this wonderful amphibian and the ability to maintain viability. Enjoy watching
