This videograph features footage of a diamondback watersnake, Nerodia rhombifer, along the edge of the Canadian River basin in Norman, Oklahoma. The diamondback watersnake is a large, nonvenomous watersnake found throughout much of the American midwest. They are often confused as being venomous cottonmouths, unfortunately.
