Mr Harry Tate At Home (1925)
Comedian Harry Tate with, and without, his famous face fungus (a very large moustache). C, U of Harry putting on his fake moustache and making faces. Slapstick comedy routine follows involving various mishaps during the fitting of a radio aerial. Harry s jacket becomes attached to the aerial and gets hauled up the side of a tree by a man on the top of a ladder. The ladder becomes detached from the tree, leaving the man dangling on a branch. Harry plays golf in his garden, someone drops a newspaper by his foot and he removes it by whacking it with his golf club. He takes a shot at the golf ball, completely misses it then picks it up off the tee and eats it. Four men look into a goldfish pond. One man s top hat falls into the water, two of the other mens hats are knocked off by Harry into the pond. Harry s wife shows him an appointment in his diary as they stand together on the doorstep and he puts on his coat and hat rushes off somewhere. Note: I am reliably informed that the man up the ladd
