Leg workouts for climbers Yes WE know that they re of benefit and YOU (deep down) know they re of benefit For too many years now, climbers how been afraid of lower body strength and conditioning because they re either scared of getting big legs or think that it s of no benefit. These are incorrect beliefs and we re very happy to challenge them. What s also useful to know, is that because most climbers have quite a poor level of lower body conditioning, almost any exercise regime is likely to have benefit. It s not like those forearm workouts where you re trying to eek out the last 1 of you re still in the easy gains window here Lower body conditioning work (whether it s mobility or strength work) can be done very easily with a high degree of specificity and without loads of heavy weights.
