Poland seeks extradition of Canada s applauded Nazi veteran
Polands education minister has announced he has taken steps toward the possible extradition of Ukrainian Nazi veteran Yaroslav Hunka after the Canadian parliament accidentally honoured him. It comes after the former Waffen SS soldier received a standing ovation in Canadas House of Commons for fighting against Russia in World War Two. The Polish official described Canadas address during Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskys visit as scandalous. I mean maybe we should be giving the Speaker of the House a medal, Sky News host Caleb Bond said. Hes managed to smoke out the Nazi and now theyre going to take him back to Poland and give him his just desserts.
