Hand Loom Weaver in Eastern Bhutan

A weaver working on a hand loom near Trashigang, Bhutan. The work is incredibly intricate. It can take her a year and a half to finish a kira (traditional Bhutanese skirt worn by women) and sold for up to US1300. She has been doing this since she was about 12 years was more than 50 years ago. She doesn t use patterns, except what exists in her head.
