Thailand: Activists rally against royal defamation law in Bangkok
Subscribe to our channel Protesters gathered at the Pathumwan intersection in Bangkok to demand the immediate release of four protest leaders, along with the abolition of Article 112, on Wednesday. Protesters could be seen banging pots and pans, holding up protest signs along with Myanmar flags, showing support for the country s protests against the recent military coup. The four activists, arrested on Tuesday, are pending trial having been charged with insulting Thailand s king, which is a crime according to section 112 of the Thai Criminal Code. Known as the Lesemajeste law, sentences can range between three to fifteen years of imprisonment. One protester said, Yesterday my friend got arrested and they need us.
