3 Carmen Leggio Solos with Woody Herman Big Band 1963

This is my tribute to the marvelously talented saxophonist, CARMEN LEGGIO (19282009). He is my favorite melodic saxist (among so many greats; Zoot Sims quickly comes to mind) a selftaught natural genius artist who made his own chords and lived and breathed his music. These are 3 of his Solos with the Woody Herman Orchestra 196364 on these tunes: A TASTE OF HONEY, THE FOUR BROTHERS, and that lovely ballad, CALDONIA. Those early 60s Woody Bands were just incredible you will see Carmen playing i
