Baby flying fox called Quidditch: cuteness overload
Quidditch is an orphan GreyHeaded FlyingFox whose mother hit power lines and died. Babies often survive the electric shock, being insulated by mum s fur. Quidditch is 7 days old now. He had a rocky time over his first few days in care but is now doing well and is a very chilled and relaxed batty. He will be raised by a carer till he goes to creche. He is not and will not be a pet. When the hand raised babies are 3 months old, they go into a creche, where they join other orphans and form a group. They learn batty etiquette and how to live in a batty shrug off their human mums and want to be with the other batties. When they are emotionally and physically ready, and uninjured, and around 45 months old, theyre put into a release cage under a colony and they can integrate into the colony and fly out with the wild bats.
