In the biggest indigenousled protest in Brazils history, more than 6, 000 people rallied at the Supreme Court in September against a legal concept called Marco Temporal. If approved, it would strip many indigenous groups of control over their ancestral homeland. A previous version of this story had incorrectly named the Tembé chief.
