The Great Search: Bright Side emitting Infrared SMT LED, The Great Search, Digi Key Digi Key Adafruit

For a small STEMMA board we designed and prototyped, we d like to have it emit powerful IR pulses to turn on, off remote control devices. We ve used throughhole IR LEDs before, they are interesting in that they are usually pulsed at 100mA1A of current (not your regular 20mA) However, for this design to stay easytouse, we need to source SMT LEDs. So let s find a bright (80mW, sr or greater), infrared (940nm wavelength), side emitting LED.
