Alex Ovechkins 65 Goals In 2007 08 ( HD)
The greatest single goalscoring season of the last quartercentury. He became the 1st 60goal scorer since Lemieux (69) and Jagr (62) both hit the mark in 9596. In fact, the total is also the highest of any season outside of 197096, when goal scoring rates were much higher. Maybe even more incredible, he had a 7game goalless streak (Feb. 1529), meaning that all 65 of his goals were scored in just 75 games per game, a 71goal pace). Ovi added 47 assists for a careerhigh 112 points, winning his 1st Art Ross Trophy. He won his 1st of 3 Hart Trophies, and his 1st of 3 straight Lester B. Pearson, Ted Lindsay Awards. Of course he handily won his 1st
