Hats While You Wait (1930)
The latest novelty in crepe paper the beach sunshadehat. Just a few minutes M, S of a woman standing behind a table holding a piece of spotty crepe paper. She sits down and spreads it out on the table. She pins a paper pattern to the crepe paper and cuts around it C, U. She then paints glue onto the paper pattern and sticks it to the crepe paper, making little cuts inside the crown. Then for a little she shows she sews High angle of the woman sewing with a pedal operated sewing machine. She folds around the excess crepe paper and pulls it through the hole in the top. A crown is then placed over the top of the pulled through paper (we aren t shown how this part is made). This is sewn on by machine. A dark edging is sewn onto the brim and turned down.
