One of Norways most enduring artists, Sivert Høyem is best known as the former singer of rock band Madrugada, as well as a popular solo artist and storyteller whose distinctive voice recalls a combination of the timbres of Leonard Cohen, Nick Cave, and Neil Diamond. For more than 15 years, Sivert Høyem dreamed of playing a concert in the 2000year old Herod Atticus Odeon amphitheater at the Acropolis in Athens, Greece. On Sept 29th and Oct 2nd 2016, the dream came true, as Høyem as one of very few artists approved by Greek authorities to perform at the theatre played two soldout shows in front of Greek fans. On June 9th 2017 the Acropolis recording is released as a double live album and film, available on limited edition vinyl, standard vinyl incl. DVD, 2CD digipack incl. DVD, download and streaming.
