Passion Flowers (Maypops) are unusual and fascinating in their appearance, size and complexity. There are over 400 species of tropical passion flowers. They are found naturally from South America through Mexico. It is a plant of the Americas that was taken to Spain and later Europe and other parts of the world by early Spanish explorers and missionaries. In South America, early Catholic missionaries used parts of the flowers anatomy as symbols representative of Christs suffering and from there it entered
