Hot dog buns: the secret to make them perfect
INGREDIENTS 240ml (1 cup) warm milk; 20g (2 tbsp) sugar; 1 egg; 7g (1 tsp) dry yeast; 440g (3 1, 2 cups) allpurpose flour; 2g ( tsp) salt; 30g (2 tbsp) soft butter. METHOD Whisk warm milk with sugar, egg, and salt. Sprinkle dry yeast and whisk to combine. Add sifted flour into the liquid and knead until smooth dough forms. Knead soft butter into the dough and form it into a ball. Set the ball aside to double in size (for around 1 hour). Cut the dough into 10 pieces, and roll each one into a hot dogshaped bun as shown in the video. Set the buns aside until they are doubled in size (for around 30 minutes).
