From the 2005 Delmark Records recording, Goin To Town, Live at the Green DBOT began playing together in 1992, officially forming the group in 1999. They began recording in 2004, making four records, including one that was, 1 on the jazz radio airplay chart. They toured both the US and EU, highlighted by North American tours as opening act for Steely Dan. The Deep Blue Organ Trio disbanded in 2013.
