Kings of Infinite Space LITMUS Live in the Studio
Kings of Infinite Space from our third album Aurora finds us in a wistful and reflective mood. Ok, so it s not actually about kings. Or space. (Are any Litmus songs actually about space Discuss. ) The reference to Shakespeare s Danish bloke may be obvious, but the song is really a reflection on mental health and on the incredible possibilities and unknown worlds lurking within the human mind. It attempts this in a manner that is surprisingly upbeat for a Litmus song. Predictably enough, this uncalled for positivity is hammered home by bright major key harmonies at the start and end of the song. Between the singing, space is left for unscripted and unfiltered improvisation, taking the band, and the listener (yes, just the one listener) on a different journey every time it is played.
