Imelda Mary Higham, professionally known as Imelda May, is an Irish musician, producer and singersongwriter. I hear a little Joplin in her voice and anyone that is familiar with Joplin, Im sure will agree. She made this tune her own; kinda country, kinda jazzy. She did a live cover performance of Oh Darlin in Tribute of the Bealtles and the thirtyyear anniversary of Abby Road. Oh Darling is a song by the English rock band the Beatles, composed by Paul McCartney credited to LennonMcCartney), and appearing as the fourth song on the 1969 album Abbey Road. Its working title was Oh Darling (I ll Never Do You No Harm). Imelda was born and raised in The Liberties area of Dublin, May began her career in music at 16 by performing with a number of local bands and musician, before she formed her own band in 2002. She released her debut studio album, No Turning Back, in 2003 and relocated to London with husband, guitarist Darrel Higham, after its release. F
