The Beverley Sisters Greensleeves (1956)

Charted at, 41 on Billboard Hot 100 in December 1956. This was the trio s only chart record on the Billboard charts in the US but they had other hit records in their native Britain. The folk song Greensleeves dates back to the 1500 s when it was described as A New Northern Dittye of the Lady Greene Sleeves. Mason Williams charted with an instrumental version of the song at, 90 in April 1969 (, 13 Adult Contemporary). The sheet music for this 1956 version states that the lyrics and arrangement are by the Beverley Sisters.
