Climbers Gear Falls Out on Crux of Intense E9
Anna Hazelnutt climbs Once Upon a Time in the Southwest E9 6c R), a steep and crimpy slabby at Dyers Lookout. This is Anna Hazelnutt s first lead of anything above 5. 9 in a big undertaking. The bottom half is a crimpy slab with little rests. The crux is a step left at half height, and the remaining top section steepens up. The holds get more positive but the previous 3040m of the route start to take its toll.
