Yitzhak Navon is one of Israels newest railway stations, and one of the worlds deepest at 80 meters below ground. Sometimes called Hauma, this station has multiple levels, a sleek modern design, vaulted glass ceilings, and mosaics on the walls. With over 5, 500 square meters of space underground, it can also serve as a refuge for 5, 000 people in an emergency situation. Its named after Yitzhak Navon, a Jerusalem native and Israels fifth president.
