Produced on behalf of the Dept. of the Treasury as part of the National Defense Savings Program, this black white film promotes the concept of buying victory bonds to help with the reconstruction of war torn areas in the Pacific after World War 2. It features images from the Philippines, Guam, Occupied Japan and elsewhere, and shows how U. S. occupation forces attempted to reestablish the lives, home and industry of nations in wartorn Asia. It was part of the promotional campaign behind the Eighth War Loan Drive, called the Victory Loan (begun October 29, 1945 roughly two months after the war ended).
