Lugansky Scriabin Étude Op. 8, No. 12
Alexander Scriabin (18721915) Études, Op. 8, No. 12 in Dsharp minor (1894) Nikolai Lugansky, 2019 From Zaryadye Hall . .. Technically this is another octave study; emotionally it marks the final peak of the cycle. The defiant gestures of the right hand (not dissimilar to Chopins in his Op 10 No 12) are propelled by wideranging lefthand figurations which give way to irresistibly onwardpressing repeated chords in both handsa device used later at the climaxes of the fourth and fifth Sonatas.
