British Eagle Viscount Crash (1968)
WARNING DISTRESSING FOOTAGE. Unissued, Unused material Langenbruck, Nr. Munich, West Germany (FDR Federal Republic of Germany). Various shots of the wreckage of a British Eagle, Viscount plane which crashed into the MunichNuremberg autobahn killing all 48 people aboard. The wreckage is strewn for a great distance on either side of the autobahn, and German rescue organisations search in vain for survivors. The camera picks out crash victims lying in the grass, personal belongings, etc. , amongst the wreckage. MS Coffins bearing the crash victims lined up alongside the autobahn for transit to mortuary. Var. shots interior the mortuary showing the coffins and their belongings bagged up alongside. MS A plastic bag bearing an unidentified hand lies seeping blood onto the mortuary floor.
