Israeli protesters block highways in legal overhaul rally

Israeli police in Tel Aviv deployed water cannons to disperse demonstrators as they blocked highways at the start of countrywide protests against the government s planned judicial overhaul. The demonstrations come after Prime Minister Netanyahus parliamentary coalition gave initial approval to a bill to limit the Supreme Courts oversight powers.
