Total War: Shogun 2. The Fading Light

This tells the story of the Shimabara Rebellion in 163738. It was the largest of its kind during the Edo period with the exception to the Boshin War at the end of the Edo period. It was a conflict born out of oppression of the worst kinds. Harsh taxation, religious persecution, among other things. The rebellion was widely successful in the region of Shimabara, and the Amakusa Islands which were very near by. The Amakusa islands had also faced very similar circumstances.
