1953 Chevrolet 1300 LS3 FiveWindow Pickup Build Project When Fast Freddie s Rod Shop got an invitation to compete in the Pro Builder s Shootout at the Car Craft Summer Nationals in Milwaukee this past summer, they could have brought one of the shop s several street machine projects; it s a predominantly street machine event, after all. Instead, shop owner Fred Kappus decided to shake things up a littleso he brought Otis. The matte twotone 1953 Chevrolet Pickup wasn t named Otis when owner Don Boxx brought it to Fast Freddie s. Don and his wife, Julie, live in Kenosha, Wisconsin, but spend a lot of time at their cabin in Eagle River. They had had become friends with the retired couple in a neighboring cabin.
