Only three other royals are given the same honour on their birthday. Catherine, the Princess of Wales, will be honoured on Monday her 41st birthday with a special moment reserved only for her and three other royals. At 1pm London time, the bells at Westminster Abbey will toll to commemorate her birthday. The tradition is reserved for the most senior of royals meaning only the birthdays of King Charles, Queen Consort Camilla, and Prince William are marked in this way alongside Kate. Catherine Elizabeth Middleton was born on January 9, 1982, at the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading, UK, to parents Carole and Michael Middleton. Whilst her birthday celebrations are usually private affairs, the public ringing of the bells this year is a public recognition of the Princesss vital role in the royal family.
