Rome restaurant owners rage as lockdown takes toll on businesses
An unauthorized protest organized by the I open movement descended into clashes as Italian restaurant owners demand an end to the COVID lockdown, prompted by the fact that, under current restrictions, restaurants are to remain closed until at least the end of April. At one point, the rally was joined by a farright group whose members threw smoke bombs at police, resulting in one demonstrator becoming injured and another arrested.
